Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error mitigation strategies for quantum processors
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual research budgets for quantum hardware/software initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to solve real-world quantum computing challenges
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
- Develop patent portfolios protecting quantum IP assets
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or top-tier physics journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Experience leading R&D teams with $1M+ budgets
- Strong background in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
