Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Design fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Lead development of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Collaborate with materials science teams to engineer novel quantum substrates
- Translate theoretical quantum advantage into practical enterprise solutions
- Drive open-source quantum computing initiatives and contribute to industry standards
- Mentor quantum engineering talent and build cross-functional R&D teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years designing quantum hardware or quantum software systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical high-performance computing
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
