Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures optimized for real-world commercial applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum algorithms to achieve quantum advantage
- Collaborate with physicists and engineers to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Lead prototyping of quantum solutions for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning use cases
- Research and evaluate emerging quantum technologies (topological, photonic, etc.) for implementation roadmap
- Document technical specifications and create performance benchmarks for quantum systems
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and foster cross-functional innovation teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, error mitigation, and algorithm development
- Proven track record of building quantum systems with demonstrated quantum advantage
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures and distributed systems
- Familiarity with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Experience securing venture funding for quantum technology initiatives
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or conferences
