Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity for 2026-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and AI specialists
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure patents for breakthrough quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum systems with demonstrated fault-tolerance expertise
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to functional prototypes
