Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum processors with >1000 qubit coherence
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical optimization frameworks
- Lead quantum algorithm implementation for NLP and materials science
- Architect quantum-safe encryption protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Collaborate with NASA on quantum simulation for space exploration
- Establish quantum error mitigation standards for industrial deployment
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent expertise
- 5+ years in quantum hardware/software architecture
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum coherence
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum control systems
- Deep understanding of topological qubit implementations
- Track record of patenting quantum computing innovations
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
