This role combines quantum computing expertise with advanced machine learning to solve humanity's most complex challenges in cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling.
You'll lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists, data scientists, and engineers in our state-of-the-art Austin R&D facility. Collaborate with global partners including NASA and MIT to develop scalable quantum neural networks that push beyond classical computing limitations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants for quantum-AI initiatives
- Partner with ethics council to develop responsible quantum AI deployment protocols
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum computing pathways
- Drive commercialization of quantum-AI solutions in healthcare and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Machine Learning (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms with demonstrated impact
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum cloud platforms (IBM, Rigetti)
- Experience securing DoE/NASA research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum neural networks
