Responsibilities
- Provide safe, on-leash walks for dogs in Lexington neighborhoods
- Administer medication and monitor pet health during visits
- Offer playtime, enrichment activities, and basic training cues
- Document client interactions via our mobile app with real-time updates
- Handle emergency protocols and transport to veterinary facilities if needed
- Maintain detailed pet care logs and client communication
- Adhere to safety protocols for weather conditions and animal behavior
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Smartphone proficiency for scheduling apps and photo updates
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Local residency within 15 miles of Lexington required
