Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in designated Newark neighborhoods and parks
- Provide feeding, hydration, and waste cleanup services
- Administer basic medications as required (training provided)
- Maintain detailed activity logs and client communication
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and animal handling best practices
- Transport pets to/from veterinary appointments when needed
- Report any behavioral or health concerns to management
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 5 miles daily
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Availability mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available)
