- Execute Safe Walks: Safely walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in designated San Diego parks, ensuring they remain on leash and under control at all times.
- Equipment Management: Utilize the premium equipment provided (leashes, harnesses, waste bags, identification tags) to ensure the comfort and safety of each dog.
- Health Monitoring: Observe dogs for any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior and report findings immediately to the pet owner or management.
- Hygiene & Safety: Clean up waste promptly and thoroughly, ensuring all areas are left clean and safe for other park visitors.
- Client Communication: Provide real-time updates, photos, and video clips to owners via our app to keep them connected with their pets during walks.
- Behavioral Observation: Note any behavioral quirks or preferences (e.g., play style, trigger points) and communicate them to the owner for future care.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in dog walking or pet care is preferred, but a genuine passion for animals is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk 2-4 miles per day, including hills and varied terrain typical of San Diego.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to commit to a consistent schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and proficiency with mobile technology for reporting.
- License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for transport to park locations if required).
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and have no history of animal abuse or neglect.
