Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments in designated San Jose neighborhoods
- Provide companionship, playtime, and basic care during walks
- Administer medications as per owner instructions with precision
- Maintain detailed digital walk logs and client communication
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Build trust-based relationships with pets and their owners
- Represent Pawsome Pet Care professionally at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience or equivalent pet care background
- Valid California driver's license with reliable vehicle
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Exceptional time management and reliability
- Ability to work independently while following detailed protocols
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills and smartphone proficiency
- Must pass comprehensive background check
