Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously (2-4 dogs) in Newark neighborhoods and parks
- Provide attentive care during walks, including leash handling and waste cleanup
- Administer basic care (water, treats) and monitor pets for health concerns
- Maintain detailed digital logs of walks, behavior, and client communication
- Transport pets via company vehicle for off-leash park visits
- Build trust with pet owners through consistent, professional updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation with daily availability
- Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Ability to handle large, strong dogs up to 80 lbs
- Background check clearance required
