Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in residential and park settings
- Provide feeding, medication administration, and basic care
- Maintain detailed pet activity logs and owner communication
- Ensure all pets are secure using proper leash/harness techniques
- Transport pets to/from veterinary appointments (as needed)
- Monitor pet health and report any concerns promptly
- Uphold strict cleanliness and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to handle dogs up to 70 lbs comfortably
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Availability for weekday/evening walks (4-6 PM)
- Background check and drug screen required
- Local knowledge of Louisville neighborhoods preferred
