Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service with detailed menu knowledge and wine pairing expertise
- Process orders accurately using our modern POS system while maintaining table cleanliness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and guest satisfaction
- Handle payment transactions and reconcile cash drawers at shift end
- Upsell premium menu items, seasonal specials, and beverages
- Manage reservation seating and guest waitlists during peak hours
- Adhere to strict sanitation standards and food safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic POS system proficiency (Toast or similar)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
