Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service with knowledge of menu items and daily specials
- Process orders accurately using POS systems and coordinate with kitchen staff
- Manage multiple tables while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions and reconcile payments at shift end
- Assist with opening/closing duties including station setup and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and promotional offerings to enhance guest experience
- Collaborate with bartenders and support staff during peak service hours
Qualifications
- Previous server experience in full-service restaurant environment preferred
- Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktail service
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays reliably
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods
- Virginia Beach residency preferred (local candidates encouraged)
