Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service with menu knowledge and wine pairing expertise
- Process payments accurately using POS systems while maintaining financial accountability
- Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and bar team for efficient service flow
- Upsell premium menu items and seasonal specials to enhance guest experience
- Ensure dining areas meet cleanliness standards and table turnover protocols
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and poise
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and post-shift cleaning duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency with POS systems (Toast, Square, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and multi-tasking ability
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of DC beverage service regulations
- Professional appearance and positive team attitude
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
