Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons of all ages, assisting with resource navigation, technology support, and program inquiries
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins/check-outs, renewals, and account maintenance
- Organize and maintain library materials (books, media, digital resources) using Dewey Decimal classification
- Assist with event preparation and execution of community programs and workshops
- Perform light collection maintenance (shelving, inventory, repair) and space management
- Utilize integrated library systems (ILS) for cataloging and patron data management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework or certification preferred
- 6+ months customer service experience in a public-facing role
- Proficiency with basic office software (MS Office Suite) and library databases
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on branch schedule
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency highly desirable
