Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, and renewals
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Organize and maintain library collections using Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with digital resources, databases, and research tools
- Process new acquisitions and manage inventory control systems
- Conduct outreach programs and community literacy initiatives
- Collaborate with team on event planning and promotional activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new technologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for community service and lifelong learning
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for extended periods
