Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately record vital signs and patient histories in EHR systems
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Assist with insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings (4-11 PM) and weekends (Sat/Sun)
- Valid CPR certification
