Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in designated Arlington neighborhoods
- Provide personalized care based on each pet's specific needs and temperament
- Monitor pet health and behavior during walks, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed activity logs for each dog (duration, behavior, incidents)
- Ensure proper waste cleanup and maintain clean equipment (leashes, water bowls)
- Administer basic care as needed (medication, feeding during walks)
- Build trust-based relationships with pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 3 dogs simultaneously
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and body language
- Excellent time management and punctuality skills
- Background check and drug screen required
- Availability weekdays between 10 AM - 4 PM
