Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict adherence to company security and cash-handling policies.
- Bag merchandise securely and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
- Resolve customer inquiries or complaints professionally and escalate complex issues to management.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail or cash handling experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills with the ability to count money accurately and process transactions quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with POS software is preferred.
