Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with finding products or answering inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with strict adherence to company security protocols.
- Manage the cash register, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of every shift.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean sales floor.
- Handle returns and exchanges following company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive shopping experience for every visitor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail customer service is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to medium boxes (up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule.
- Basic computer proficiency is desirable.
