Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance with their shopping needs.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining strict accuracy in cash handling.
- Assist with bagging items, managing returns, and answering general store inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and welcoming store atmosphere.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new POS systems quickly.
