Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor, understanding their project needs and recommending the right equipment.
- Equipment Demonstration: Demonstrate the safe and proper use of various equipment, including power tools, generators, and construction machinery.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and in good working condition before rental or sale.
- Transaction Processing: Process sales and rental transactions accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect returned equipment for damage and perform minor maintenance or cleaning tasks as directed by management.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a high-energy store environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required; sales experience is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver equipment on the sales floor.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Tools: Basic computer literacy and comfort using mobile devices for checkout.
