Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Monitor the point of sale for fraud and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a neat appearance in the sales floor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions precisely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for shifts including weekends and holidays.
