Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card payments with strict attention to accuracy and security.
- Assist with bagging groceries and maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Support store management with inventory stocking and price tag verification as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle money with high accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and POS system experience is a plus.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
