Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS).
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy.
- Manage the checkout area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist with bagging merchandise and loading purchases into customers' vehicles.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally.
- Maintain awareness of current promotions and inform customers accordingly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
