Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately ring up customer purchases using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, and gift card payments.
- Customer Service: Greet every customer with a smile, answer questions, and resolve inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies at all times.
- Inventory Support: Assist in inventory counts and ensure merchandise is properly displayed on the sales floor.
- Return Handling: Efficiently process returns, exchanges, and manage customer loyalty program sign-ups.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with floor staff and management to ensure seamless store operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Skills: Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
