Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and seasonal specials.
- Maintain a pristine and inviting cafe environment, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure repeat business.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, handling cash, credit, and gift card transactions.
- Upsell and suggest additional products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
- Follow strict health and safety guidelines and food handling protocols.
- Assist in restocking inventory and managing supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; passion for coffee is a must.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and speed.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of brewing methods and coffee terminology is a plus.
