As a barista at Arlington Coffee Co., you will be the face of our brand, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile and their perfect cup of coffee.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, tea, and smoothies, following standard recipes.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and brewing equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Greet and engage customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and providing recommendations.
- Handle transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring cash and card payments are processed correctly.
- Maintain a clean workspace, including counters, tables, and restrooms, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and organizing the storage area.
- Uphold brand standards regarding store appearance, uniform, and overall customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; we provide training.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Schedule: Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Math Skills: Basic math proficiency for handling cash and making change.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for coffee and customer service.
