Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and present specialty coffee beverages while maintaining consistent quality standards
- Engage warmly with customers, providing personalized recommendations and exceptional service
- Manage cash handling and POS systems with precision and accuracy
- Uphold strict hygiene protocols and maintain a pristine café environment
- Collaborate with team members during peak hours to ensure seamless operations
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of coffee supplies
- Participate in ongoing product knowledge training for new menu items
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional barista experience or equivalent coffee preparation knowledge
- Deep passion for coffee with understanding of brewing techniques and flavor profiles
- Outstanding customer service skills with ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory tracking
- Food Handler's certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Positive attitude and collaborative team spirit
- Knowledge of Memphis coffee culture preferred
