Responsibilities
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of the site.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or medical emergencies.
- Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms and medical incidents, with calm and efficiency.
- Perform access control duties at building entry points and log visitor information.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Guard License in the District of Columbia.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
