Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition reports throughout night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and day-shift teams for continuity of care
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA certification or equivalent medical credential
- Minimum 1 year experience in hospital or long-term care setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional situational judgment and calm demeanor
- Availability for weekend nights (Sat-Sun 7PM-7AM)
- Basic ECG monitoring experience preferred
