Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library resources, including book circulation, reference inquiries, and digital services
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections using cataloging systems
- Support programming initiatives for children, teens, and adults
- Manage circulation desk operations and patron account management
- Process new materials and conduct inventory checks
- Collaborate with team members on outreach and community engagement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Library Science certification preferred
- 1+ years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with library systems (e.g., ILS, OCLC)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Basic knowledge of cataloging principles and Dewey Decimal System
- Valid California driver's license for outreach programs
