Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional virtual customer service via phone, email, and chat for library patrons
- Manage digital resource access, including e-books, databases, and online learning platforms
- Process circulation transactions (check-outs, renewals, returns) through integrated library systems
- Develop and maintain digital content for the library's online portal and social channels
- Support virtual programming initiatives including webinars and digital literacy workshops
- Conduct remote reference interviews and research assistance for patrons
- Collaborate with team members on digital catalog maintenance and metadata management
- Participate in continuous training on emerging library technologies and accessibility tools
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent library science coursework; Bachelor's preferred
- Minimum 2 years library experience with demonstrated remote service capabilities
- Expertise in integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resource platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based communication tools
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with multicultural sensitivity
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with social media content creation and community engagement
- Certification in digital literacy or information management preferred
