Responsibilities
- Shelve library materials accurately and efficiently, following established classification systems.
- Assist patrons in locating books, periodicals, and digital resources using the library catalog.
- Check books and items in and out using the library management system (Sierra/Koha).
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of library shelves and public areas.
- Answer general inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to all visitors.
- Support special library events and assist with basic circulation desk operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
