Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and fines processing
- Assist patrons with digital resources, research databases, and technology troubleshooting
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections using Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress systems
- Develop and facilitate engaging community programs (children's literacy, tech workshops)
- Implement outreach initiatives to underserved populations through partnerships
- Conduct inventory control and preservation of special collections
- Support library marketing via social media and community bulletin boards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation with conflict resolution skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and navigate bookshelves safely
- Clear background check and fingerprinting (required)
- Valid California Driver's License (for outreach programs)
- Experience with library systems (ILS) preferred but not required
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
