Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with book circulation, check-ins, and check-outs using our integrated library system
- Shelve and organize library materials to maintain an accessible and inviting environment
- Provide basic reference assistance and direct patrons to appropriate resources
- Support library programs and events for children, teens, and adults
- Perform routine maintenance of library spaces including shelf-reading and light cleaning
- Process new materials and assist with inventory management
- Operate library equipment including copiers, scanners, and self-service kiosks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (no college experience required)
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for helping others
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer literacy including familiarity with email and internet navigation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
