Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with book circulation, returns, and reservations using our integrated library system
- Shelve materials in correct Dewey Decimal order and maintain organized collections
- Provide excellent customer service at the circulation desk and reference inquiries
- Support children's programs including storytimes and summer reading initiatives
- Process new acquisitions and maintain accurate inventory records
- Operate library equipment including self-checkout stations and copiers
- Assist with digital literacy support and basic technology troubleshooting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with organizational abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping community members
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts
