Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and renewals
- Provide expert reference assistance using digital and print resources
- Develop and implement engaging community programs for all age groups
- Maintain accurate catalog records and database systems
- Coordinate interlibrary loan requests and material acquisition
- Conduct technology training workshops for patrons
- Assist with collection development and inventory management
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with ILS systems (e.g., Sierra, Evergreen)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of metadata standards (MARC, Dublin Core)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
