Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with resource navigation, catalog searches, and digital device support
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, and account maintenance
- Process new materials, maintain accurate shelving, and perform inventory control
- Conduct children's storytimes and coordinate youth literacy programs
- Support community events and outreach initiatives to promote library services
- Maintain clean, organized library spaces and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and service improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or administrative experience
- Proficiency with library catalog systems (e.g., Koha, Sierra)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
