Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service at service desks, assisting patrons with circulation, account inquiries, and reference support
- Process library materials including check-ins, check-outs, renewals, and interlibrary loans
- Shelve and maintain collections in assigned areas ensuring proper organization and accessibility
- Assist with technology support including computer reservations, printing, and basic troubleshooting
- Conduct outreach programs including children's storytimes, digital literacy workshops, and community events
- Process new acquisitions through cataloging and data entry into integrated library systems
- Maintain accurate records and reports for circulation statistics and patron interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework or certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in a library, retail, or public-facing role
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and basic office software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in material handling and record-keeping
- Excellent communication abilities with diverse populations including children and seniors
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shelving duties
- Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation for outreach programs
