Job Description
We are not just predicting the future; we are architecting it. Nexus 2026 is pioneering the next generation of post-silicon computing. We are looking for a visionary Lead Quantum Architect to spearhead the development of our next-generation quantum processing units (QPUs) designed for commercial scalability by 2026.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical engineering, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and ready to redefine the computing landscape. If you are ready to push the boundaries of what is possible in hardware engineering, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the end-to-end architecture of our next-gen QPU systems, focusing on qubit coherence and error correction protocols.
- Roadmap Strategy: Define the technical roadmap for the 2026 product release, ensuring alignment with market demands and scientific feasibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with quantum physicists, software engineers, and manufacturing teams to translate theoretical models into silicon reality.
- System Optimization: Lead initiatives to reduce latency and improve the fault tolerance of our quantum processors in real-world environments.
- Intellectual Property: Drive the creation of proprietary algorithms and hardware designs that secure our position as a market leader.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related Quantum Computing field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in high-performance computing architecture, with at least 3 years in leading quantum hardware or advanced chip design teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL, experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq), and a deep understanding of superconducting or trapped-ion technologies.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, open-ended technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Leadership: Proven track record of mentoring engineering teams and managing large-scale projects.
