Responsibilities
- Safely manage groups of 3-5 dogs on extended urban and waterfront walks throughout Jersey City
- Administer specialized care for high-needs and elderly pets including medication administration and mobility assistance
- Maintain detailed digital health logs and client communication via our proprietary app
- Coordinate with veterinary partners for routine care and emergency protocols
- Train junior walkers on safety protocols and client service excellence
- Develop customized exercise plans based on breed-specific needs and client preferences
- Manage client scheduling and route optimization for maximum efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years professional dog walking experience with references from high-net-worth clients
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR and Canine Behavior (CPDT-KA preferred)
- Valid driver's license with clean record and reliable transportation
- Availability for early mornings (5-7 AM) and flexible evening shifts
- Proficiency in digital scheduling and communication platforms
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate challenging urban terrain
- Strong knowledge of breed-specific needs and emergency protocols
- Excellent time management and crisis resolution skills
