Responsibilities
- Execute premium coffee preparation techniques (espresso, pour-over, cold brew)
- Train and mentor junior baristas on beverage excellence and customer engagement
- Develop innovative seasonal drink menus aligned with local flavors
- Manage inventory control and supplier relationships for premium ingredients
- Lead daily operations during peak hours while maintaining service standards
- Curate customer experiences through personalized recommendations
- Collaborate with the culinary team on food-beverage pairings
Qualifications
- 3+ years specialty coffee experience with advanced latte art skills
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety knowledge
- Proven ability to train staff and manage high-volume service
- Extensive knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software
- Detroit residency preferred
