Responsibilities
- Execute complex coffee preparations with precision and artistry, including espresso, pour-overs, and signature beverages
- Mentor junior baristas on flavor profiles, brewing techniques, and customer engagement
- Curate and maintain premium inventory of specialty beans and equipment
- Drive exceptional guest experiences through personalized recommendations and memorable service
- Implement operational best practices for efficiency and quality consistency
- Collaborate with roasting team to develop seasonal menu innovations
- Lead daily shift operations including opening/closing procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of specialty coffee experience with advanced latte art certification
- Demonstrated expertise in espresso calibration and extraction science
- Proven ability to train and develop barista teams
- Exceptional knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles
- Strong inventory management and cost control abilities
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Valid Indiana Food Handler's Certification
