Responsibilities
- Execute specialty coffee preparation with precision using espresso machines, pour-over methods, and batch brewing
- Train and mentor junior baristas on beverage techniques, customer service standards, and inventory management
- Develop seasonal beverage menus and conduct coffee tasting sessions for staff and customers
- Ensure exceptional customer experiences through personalized recommendations and warm hospitality
- Manage daily operations including inventory tracking, quality control, and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create coffee-inspired food pairings and promotions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional barista experience with advanced espresso and brewing techniques
- SCA Coffee Skills certification or equivalent specialty training preferred
- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume food service environment
- Deep knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to train and motivate diverse teams
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software
