Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential (2026+)
- Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Quantify market opportunities and risks associated with emerging tech investments
- Present findings to executive leadership with data-driven recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Mentor cross-functional teams on future technology adoption
- Ensure all initiatives comply with emerging regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product development, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused tech initiatives
- MBA or advanced degree in relevant technical field
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities
- Experience with patent analysis and competitive technology intelligence
- Strong presentation skills with ability to influence C-suite executives
- Published thought leadership in technology publications
