Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology vision to investors and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for experimental projects
- Mentor junior futurists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning or innovation leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, blockchain)
- Proven track record of launching futuristic products to market
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting tools
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Published thought leadership on tech trends (patents, journals, keynotes)
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
