Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Horizon's 2026 technology strategy roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, Web3.0) into core business operations
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to define innovation priorities and secure executive buy-in
- Build and lead a cross-functional innovation lab, fostering a culture of experimentation and rapid prototyping
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to anticipate technological disruptions and market shifts
- Develop strategic partnerships with leading tech firms, academic institutions, and government agencies
- Present innovation frameworks and progress reports to the board of directors and key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of futurists, engineers, and product strategists
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Innovation, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of launching transformative products or services in emerging technology domains
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, blockchain, or biotech convergence
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario development capabilities with demonstrable results
- Experience building and scaling innovation teams within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem and venture capital community
- Fluency in agile methodologies and experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
