Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 breakthrough innovations
- Partner with venture capital firms to identify and acquire emerging startups
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $20M+ annual R&D budget across 12 innovation labs
- Drive patent strategy with 95% success rate in emerging tech domains
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in next-generation technology applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience)
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching 3+ category-defining products
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology
- Executive-level stakeholder management across Fortune 500 companies
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent impact
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Previous experience leading global R&D teams of 50+ scientists
